The Psychology of Colors in Design

Therefore, each and every brand around the world choose colors used in their campaigns and logos in accordance to their brand.

Designers, especially, take the matter of colors quite seriously as any mistake in the choice of color can completely alter the look and feel of the product. For example, the color red is mostly used to represent energy and vibrancy, and one can notice a range of brands using this color to represent the feel of their product.

Similarly, the color blue and green is used to represent intellectual and calm feelings. Blue is also supposed to instigate feelings of connectivity. Therefore, a lot of social networks try to create their campaigns around the shade of blue. Yellow and orange are known as happy colors and are meant to attract children. Therefore, one can notice a lot of products meant to attract children use shades of orange and blue.

On the other hand, colors like gray and black are used by royal brands that wish to represent style, class, and passage of time. Another color of huge importance is the color white.

A lot of brands truly abide by this color as this color can never lose its meaning which is of serenity and style at the same time. Similarly, colors like silver and golden serve the purpose of representing royalty too.

The psychology of color is truly fascinating. The color can influence our mindset on such a grandeur scale and this is because colors are an integral part of nature itself. When one looks at the blue ocean, green forest, yellow sunflower field, orange sunset, and other colors of nature, one understands the meaning of colors itself.
